*Christmastide*

Since in my high school time up to now I am far from my family so for every Christmas I want to celebrate it with my family and friends to have a good Christmas with them. I believe that Christmas is the most observed and most popular among all the festivals and holidays of the Christian Church year. According to Dennis Bratcher in his article about Christmas season that Christmas is the celebration of the incarnation of God in Jesus the Christ, the self-revelation of God to the world in human form for the reconciliation of humanity to Himself. So, without Jesus, Christmas is an empty shell, not much to celebrate. Some of us can keep the shell game going for a long time; some even choose the empty shells instead of working to hang onto the real thing. But Christmas is about Christ, even if he wasn’t really born in December, even if you have questions and doubts, even if you’re messy or suffering or full of fear and even depression.
I think that the true meaning of Christmas is about possibility in the midst of the impossible. It is not the kind of possibility that comes from a confidence in our own skill, knowledge, ability, or a positive mental attitude. It is possibility that comes solely from the fact that God is God, and that he is the kind of God who comes into our own human existence to reveal himself and call us to himself. It is a possibility that is so surprising at its birth that we are caught unaware, and so are left with wonder at the simplicity of its expression in this infant child. It is a possibility that is easily symbolized by a helpless infant that has nothing of its own by which to survive; yet an infant that, because he is Immanuel, God with us, will forever change the world and all humanity. It is this same God who has promised to be with us, with his people, with the church and with us individually, as we live as his people in the world. So, for this season I wish you a full Christmas, full of grace and truth, full of Jesus. Because He’s what Christmas is all about.

Learning english never ends....

Last week, we had our conversation together with my board mates about the importance of English if it is necessary to learn of it. That conversation gave more lessons to us especially that we are currently enrolling this subject. The first question that I remembered was…”How would people be speaking and learning today?”, I did research on that question for further explanations. But before that I paused for a while and imagined if people didn't study English what would happen? In order to sound educated and literate, people need to thoroughly study English. It is also heavily needed in the business world as well as in our own private world. English also teaches us to communicate and process things more accurately. If we didn't have a set English language communicating would be extremely difficult.
The main reason to study English is to sound educated and literate. In order to advance in the professional world, we must have proper English and good speech. For example, although President George W. Bush is an extremely smart and important person he at times lacks public speaking abilities. This has been a detriment to him and a big reason why people may not favor him. Where as, President Bill Clinton spoke very well and was very popular with the people because he was able to properly connect with the public. This ties in the reason for why studying English thoroughly is important in the business world. In order to obtain a good career an advancement as well as respect from your peers you have to be literate and well educated.
An additional reason for studying English is for communication. You are much more accepted in the world if you portray yourself better. People will think of you in a better way and you will have a better chance of being accepted. You will most likely also have more opportunities in life.
In conclusion there are many reasons as to why studying English is important. One is being that you sound more educated and literate, two is to communicate properly with others, and three because it is important for career advancement and respect in the business world. Learning English never ends, there is the English dictionary that has so many words in it that most people have never even utilized or heard. Learning to properly use one new word each week is a great way to continually learn to utilize the English language.

What i've learned.....

On the past week, we had our Business product launching at CBAA hallway around 9 am. we were so busy preparing and decorating the stall, producing large quantity of our product to reach the target market. I am the marketing manager in our group which is tasked to promote our product find strategies to develop our product, communicate directly to the customers and distribute the product to the customers for there satisfaction. As a matter of fact, all of us should not have a minor subject at this semester for the reason that our practicum really needs a full time participation but sad to say that i was a trans ferry then and some subjects were need to be prioritized first so I didn't got english 2 before. I know that English 2 is not my major but it is not good to take it for the sake that i can graduate my course but it needs also a time because in business english is very, very important.I know that in the marketing field it is more confident for you to entertain customers if u know what to speak and how to speak in english. So, based on that event i could relate it was my challenged to balance my time for my minor subject and for our practicum. Although i always felt ashame in our class because i know that i am in the highest year level among them and i know until now i am not good in english.Inspite of this i try my best to give more importance of this subject because this is very significant for us that's why even on that day that we had our launching and opening our business i asked our teacher that i have a class english 2 and luckily she understand and considered my part. My classmate says this subject can be taken easily as they did before but i didn't believe them because i know that there are more learning insights i can gather through this subject that can be readily be applied in our field. This will help us to be an efficient and effective marketing entrepreneur because not only sales talk is concerned but also customers can be reached through e-mails and online writing so this subject is a good training for us.

_my learning experience for the past week_

For the last few weeks,i thought that this class was so boring because i know that english 2 is always writing over and over again in our paper or notebook.I really don't like to write because i'm not good in english but i try my best to do good in this subject. But, when ma'am said that we have to write our learning experiences through this blog online instead on the paper i was happy then because not only our capability to write in english will be developed but also our learnings in computer through this site.In fact, this is a good training for us to communicate well in an online process. Also, ma'am required us to speak english wherever we are...i know it's hard to speak english but there is no harm of trying and always practice to make this as our habit or primary language.I guess all of the rules and informations that ma'am provided us last week were all agreeable and the best ways to develop our skills and become more attentive and responsive in doing all the activities and assignments given to us.I hope as we go along in this subject there are more interesting topics and activities to tackle with. That's all for this week.Thank you.
