The remarkable blog ever!...

this will be the last graded blog as February ends...I learned a lot of things from this activity. It develops my communication skills through online...I'm sure that this is the best training that can readily be applied in the near future. This is a very unique activity i ever had in the class that makes my life as a student being different. A different because in this class it is not only writing in the discipline i learned but also i learned on how to be more self disciplined. I learn how to manage my time and i learn how to value a time to spend it with important things.I am very thankful that i have this subject because this is a very good example on how good is the idea and how creative is the person who made this site for us to post our blogs and that is our very own ma'am...thank you for the effort, patience and knowledge that you imparted us...I learned a lot from you. i hope this blogging activity will continue until english 2 is there..hehehe...this is really nice activity. I enjoyed this so much...there are lot of things being developed by this site...that is myself, yourself, ourselves and most especially the friendship and the smooth relationship to each other as a classmate that keeps the memories never apart.Godbless us!...

time goes by...

Time management is the way we regulate or schedule our time. We can make more efficient use of our study time and complete our work in less time by using good time management skills. Successful time management allow us enough time to complete our work while still finding time to take advantage of other growth and development opportunities. Studying this subject English 2 which is writing in the discipline really need a lot of time to develop ourselves being a creative writer and wise thinker. As we study this subject there are lot of activities that are very important to our college experience towards our career. However, these activities will be enjoyed more fully when we know that we have done all of these for our own good and with that we apply into our daily activities on what we have learned from this subject. As time goes by I realized that this subject is quiet difficult yet fun to learn with because it will make us think what to write considering that writing is a process and it takes time but it is important to learn this subject because the theory we can get from it is very useful and can readilly be applied to our future career. Time is fast approaching and we are now in the last week of february and we are so busy doing our term paper. I just hope that we can finish this research as soon as we can and I know that everything is possible if we do our part as a student and of course never forget to ask HIS guidance and wisdom.

my learning experience last week

last week, there were lot of activities we have done in our class. The group presentations from the assignment given to us that develops teamwork by providing correct answers to get high points. That activity had challenged us by doing our best among the others. I know that it will help us to practice making a correct outline for our individual topic and with that it is no longer much difficult for us to do so.We have also done searching our own references atleast ten and luckily i found 15 and i hope it was all correct. So far, I can say that we are so busy doing our term paper and i hope that all of these things makes possible...

my learning experience from february 2-6, 2010

I would like to share the lessons I learned when I listened to the speaker I heard from the internet which is about on Importance of learning English in our life. Here are a few tips for those candidates who are going to learn English from some one:
#1 Tip: Don’t ever go to learn English from a guy who does not hold any master degree in English language. Also check out if the mother tongue of your tutor is English or not.
#2 Tips: You should check the overall approach of the course material before joining the course. Be aware from the frauds which we generally face daily.
#3 Tips: Check the emphasis of the course which you are going to join on Grammar and Vocabulary. These are the basic backbone of the English Language and you need to become a master in these to become a master in English Language.
It is not so hard to become a good in English language; only thing which is required is the approach in the right direction. There are so many courses available in web industry too which allows you to master the English language in a very short time.

"physically present but mentally absent"

oh my gosh!..last week, that was a very embarrassing moment for me...i was so depressed at that time during our class because of the big problem i encountered that time...my mind was out of town...out of the topic of what ma'am have discussed to us. I was not supposed to attend the class but i can't afford to be absent but unfortunately my concentration was not in our discussion but on how i can solve with my problem...(family problem) and i was really shocked when ma'am called my name for the clarification about our assignment on what was all about...my heart was trembling..i don't know what to say at that time...i realized how embarrassing it is when you put into the situation that the people surround you are laughing out of your mistake...I didn't know how to handle my emotion and how could i face my classmates. On the other hand, there were things i learned from that unforgettable moment of mine...it realizes me that when your are in the classroom you need to concentrate and listen to the teacher of what she is talking about because it is also a matter of respect...aside from that i know that for all the students in the classroom there was a purpose why i am the one who was chosen to recite but not emotionally feeling well maybe because to enlighten my mind that for every problem there's a solution and i should not be able to bring it with our class so that everything's gonna be fine in spite of what is happening.Well, i know that it was part of my life that sometimes i need to face and accept criticisms and mistakes because from that mistake i can gained insights and learned lot of lessons that's why instead of feeling discourage to myself i will give more best with my studies and never give up!..I know that God is always there for me and everything happens with a purpose...GODBLESS!!!

Jason Ivler gets investigation by CHR

Reaction essay from the issue:

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) was tasked to look into the National Bureau of Investigation’s (NBI) handling of Jason Ivler, the prime suspect in the killing of Renato Victor Ebarle Jr, the only son of the Presidential Chief of Staff Undersecretary Renato Ebarle Sr. According to Ivler’s mom, Marlene Aguilar (sister of renowned folk singer Freddie Aguilar), Jason was treated “like a pig” during his arrest. I can say that Jason’s mother was instrumental in harboring a known suspect. And I’m not defending any of the actions that she did on her son’s behalf because it was wrong for her to do so. On the other hand, when Jason Aguilar Ivler was treated like a pig maybe because he is heavy but they can call for medic assistant at that time because Jason has a wound already. He’s been shot. Then after that he is thrown maybe because those guy’s who carry him is mad at him because Jason change shoot with them before they can arrest Jason itself. There’s an explanation but the explanation is not good. That is not right, we have human rights. I hope everyone knows what are their human rights to be respect upon by those who have the power and position in the country. Thus, to have a fair justice, a person who committed sin shall be punished no matter what he is, provided that the human rights is not violated so that everyone can see the transparency of what happened for that instant situation.

How important is the english 2?

As far as I observed….English 2 which is writing in the discipline is very helpful to students other than freshmen. This course helps us focus our thoughts and ideas to deliver a strong message also we learn to differentiate between different structure styles. With learning how to write a good paper or post some insights in this blog, we also become critical readers of our own work and works of others.
As a student in this course, I felt like this really helped me. Although I am not a freshman, I do feel that this course can help anyone no matter their educational status. This course helped me gather my thoughts and ideas to form a clearer message.

The Power of the Internet in Spreading English

Before the Internet, it was hard for us to learn English if we didn't attend a college or university. These were the only institutions where the language was widely spoken. If we lived in a community so poor that it didn't have a college or university, our chances of ever learning English were remote. While many people still live in these circumstances today, the Internet has allowed the English language to spread around the world. Because the Internet was invented in the West, English was inherently built into it. Because Internet usage has expanded throughout the world, more people are being exposed to English. The advent of online universities has now made it possible for more people to learn English, people who may live in countries where access to standard education facilities is limited. While it may have been impossible for these people to learn English in the past, the Internet has opened up new career opportunities. These people are now able to learn English, and they can use their English skills to get better paying jobs at home, or they can use them to find jobs overseas. In any event, the Internet has played a powerful role in allowing English to spread across the world, and the number of people learning it is likely to increase in the future.

THE MUST SEE ATTRACTION

Descriptive writing:(Description of a place)

During our field trip in cebu city last 2007, We went to the Taoist temple a little place of calm after hectic downtown in Cebu City. Cebu, in Philippines has become a popular tourist destination in recent times. The island is a lush tropical island with many attractions for the visitors. One of the must see attractions is the Taoist Temple. Gorgeous Taoist temple buildings on the mountainside, overlooking the entire city. There are also several lush gardens, not too many tourists, and plenty of benches and space to relax and reflect with. The main temple and surrounding shrines looked pretty new to me and I think this was built in the 1970s, or the upkeep is spectacular. This temple is situated in the affluent and sophisticated residential suburb of Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills is located in the north of downtown Cebu. Cebu has around fifteen percent cent Chinese in her populations and this temple can be said to a contribution of the island's Chinese community.
The Taoist temple is dedicated to Taoism. Taoism is an ancient religion of China. It is based on the teachings of Lao Tze, one of the noted ancient Chinese philosophers. Taoist devotees follow their rituals on two days, Wednesdays and Sundays. They assiduously climb the ninety-nine steps of the temple to light incense sticks. Having the fortune read by the monks has also become a ritual. The temple was built in 1972 AD, the Taoist Temple is very elaborate and garish. It has a pagoda-style roof. This temple is quite some meters above the sea level. This elevation helps in allowing the visitors to have a glorious sight of the Cebu City. If you want, go in the afternoon and see the approaching evening. Be prepared to be enamored with stunning views of sunset.

What I’ve learned from the previous discussion

Last week, we tackled the topic all about Developing Unified and Coherent Paragraphs. I learned that a paragraph is unified when every sentence develops the point made in the topic sentence. It must have a single focus and it must contain no irrelevant facts. Every sentence must contribute to the paragraph by explaining, exemplifying, or expanding the topic sentence. In order to determine whether a paragraph is well developed or not, we could ask ourselves: "What main point are we trying to convey here?" (topic sentence) and then "Does every sentence clearly relate to this idea? There are several ways in which we can build good and clear paragraphs. From that topic, we came up with a project in getting some examples for every method. I know that this topic is very important because this will give us the tools to develop a well written paragraph especially in making our term paper. This will guide us for having unified and coherent paragraphs.
